CHRIS MAY
Chris May serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Wyandotte Economic Development Council and is a key resource as the lead staff on investor relations, events, and coordinating the internal workings of the organization. Using her wealth of knowledge related to Wyandotte County, Chris serves an integral part of the WYEDC organization.
As a "native dot," Chris has witnessed and been involved in the resurgence of the community and has seen firsthand, in her role with Wyandotte Economic Development Council, the future potential that it possesses. With her family-and-community-first mindset, Chris is truly an asset to Wyandotte County.
JACKIE CARLSON
Jackie Carlson serves as the Business Retention Director for the Wyandotte County Economic Development Council. Jackie’s focus is on establishing relationships with existing businesses and assisting them in retaining and growing their presence in Wyandotte County. A key role of her position is connecting members of the existing business community with economic development, governmental or other partnering agencies.
Prior to joining the Wyandotte Economic Development Council, Jackie worked as a community planner in both the public and private sectors. Her knowledge of the development process and infrastructure, plus her understanding of development codes and the local governmental structures are valuable tools as she administers programs that center on business retention. During her time in the private sector, Jackie worked closely with the Wyandotte Economic Development Council staff on business recruitment and retention projects, as well as economic development policies. Jackie’s transition to her position as the Wyandotte Economic Development Council’s Business Retention Director helps fulfill part of the organization’s mission of retaining and helping to expand existing businesses through guidance and support.
