Dean Realty Co. evolved from several realty company mergers dating back to 1958. Today the company owns a portfolio of 2.1 million square feet of office, flex and industrial properties within both Kansas and Missouri.

 

The company’s significant development history began with construction of the 416,000+ square foot Downtown Industrial Park at 31st Street and Terrace/Mercier Streets in Kansas City, Missouri. Directly below the Park is the Downtown Underground, a 1.2 million square foot underground complex containing over 804,000 square feet of office, industrial and storage space serving 60+ national and local companies. Additional development began in Cambridge Business Park at I-35 and Cambridge Circle in 1977 with a 17,100 square foot building. It now offers over 378,000 square feet of property developed by Dean Realty Co. The Park uniquely features bi-state development opportunities, being subdivided by the Missouri/Kansas state line. New master planning efforts are underway for Cambridge that will entertain office, retail, bank, urban condos and hotel development.

 

Dean Realty Co. recently completed a 190,000 square foot state-of-the-art headquarters for Dean Machinery, its partner company, and an 89,555 square foot headquarters location for RiteMade Paper Converters. Dean Realty Co. is presently managed by Lester Dean, Jr., son of founder Lester Dean, Sr.
